The all new domino administrator allows for some massive changes in systems management:

• The biggest change for System Administrators will be the ability to use Domino Administrator.... but through a web browser!

Other major changes centre around the centralisation of many client and user related items:

• Policies and Settings - will deliver central administrative control of all notes and domino fundamentals. Administrators can control practically all options, through people, groups or based on their Id certificates.
• Control of client software version (Smart Upgrade versioning will control and deploy client software versions), configurations and deployment control.
• The R6 & R7 Welcome pages can be managed centrally, allowing for the creation of Corporate Homepages or left open for users to customise themselves.
• Replica and Local mailfile management.
• Mail file archiving policies can be centrally managed if you wish, perhaps to a dedicated Domino Archive server?
• User Security dialogues allow the consolidation of important security preferences and options into one area.
